What is the minimum age to play?

Players must be at least 18-years-old.

Do you serve food? Can I bring food ?

There are vending machines for hot and cold drinks as well as snacks. You are also welcome to bring your own food to the hall.

Can children come to the bingo hall?

Children under the age of 18 are not allowed at Capital City Bingo.

Do I need an ID card to play bingo?

Players should bring a government-issued ID card in order to play. If a player wins over $1,200 playing bingo or over $500 on a machine or pull-tab game, an ID is needed for the prize to be claimed. If a player’s age is in question, an ID is needed for age verification.

How much does it cost to play bingo?

Between 30 and 40 games are played each session. The cost to play depends on the program. Players must buy an entrance pack for between $8 and $15. This fee provides bingo cards for 5 or 8 games, depending on the program. For additional games, players can buy cards for individual games or packs for a number of games.

In order to play more cards using a bingo computer, prizes start between $39 and $42, depending on the program

Do you report winnings to the IRS?

We are required to report winnings above $1,200 for bingo and above $500 for pull-tabs to the IRS. You will receive a W2-G form from us for the bigger prizes. We also withhold 3% state tax on winnings over $1,200 and federal tax on winnings over $5,000

Is it fun to play bingo?

Yes, playing bingo is exiting and fun.

What is a sleeper? 

It is not uncommon for a player to yell “bingo” after the last number has been called. This is called a sleeper because the player “went to sleep” when they should have announced their bingo.

Can I play more than one computer at a time?

No. By law, a player is only allowed to purchase and play one computer at a time.

When playing 1, 2, 3, 4 bingos, what is a bingo?

A bingo is any straight line, stamp, four corners, or small diamond. A stamp is not allowed to incorporate the free space. Stamps cannot overlap.

Does Capital City Bingo take credit cards?

Capital City Bingo is cash-only. There is an ATM on-site.
